MA02 – Strategic Design
Creating a brand from scratch based on customer views and needs is a vital part of working with design. In MA02 – Strategic Design, Branding and Marketing, we were tasked to do just this, to show our understanding of the meaning of branding, and to show our ability to construct visual identity, including design strategy and design manual. We were asked to conduct relevant surveys to establish goals and targets of the branding exercise.
We were asked to conduct research to identify the competition, the target group, drivers and barriers and to use this information when designing the new logo and visual identity for this company. They would also need us to design suitable packaging for their products and branding on their delivery vans. Finally, a brand manual was to be included to summarise their new visual identity and usage of brand elements.
